The logo was created by Miami East graduate Kimberly Wigdahl. For her design Kim chose the strongest geometric structure—the triangle—forged around a flame and intertwined with a braided circle. This triangle represents academics, arts, and athletics, the three key components of an individual’s education. The flame signifies enlightenment fueled by education. The braided circle symbolizes the strength and support of the community, woven from the threads of many individual contributors. In her design, Kim incorporated Miami East’s school colors, royal blue and white, and chose gold to represent our community’s treasure and richest resource—our children.
